The EV250B is an assisted lift, servo operated valve which is ideal
in closed circuit systems with circulation pumps, e.g. central heating
systems. In these systems it is difficult to know how much differential
pressure is available because the pump and system load are constantly
varying. This means that sometimes the differential pressure is too
great for direct operated valves and sometimes too low for servo
operated valves. We therefore offer a range of high flow valves designed
for pressures from 0 to 16 bar.
The EV250B is often a good choice of valve in drainage applications
since the pressure in a tank when it is completely filled can be too
great for a direct operated valve. Similarly, the pressure is often too
low for a servo operated valve when the tank has almost drained.
Please note: The small orifices, passages and dead spaces in solenoid
valves of any manufacture are vulnerable to dirt particles in the fluid.
Best practice is to fit a strainer/filter in front of any valve: this is
not always possible but all valves subject to the possibility of dirt in
the system must be protected this way where dirt is highly likely to be
present, for example outlets from metal storage tanks for diesel fuel
hydroscopic oils, externally operated valves such as the type AV210
should be used.
