CSE stock a wide range of DIN Rail including Top Hat, Deep Section, G-Rail and Micro.
DIN rails are essential long metal rails, widely used for mounting circuit breakers and industrial control equipment inside equipment racks and electrical enclosures. These metal rails are typically constructed from cold rolled carbon steel sheets, with a bright surface finish of either zinc-plating or chromating. While they are metallic, they are not used as a busbar to conduct electric current, but instead provide mechanical support and can serve as a chassis grounding connection.
The term "DIN" originated from the original specifications published by Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN) in Germany, which became European (EN) and international (IEC) standards. The concept was developed and implemented in Germany in 1928 and was established as the present standards in the 1950s. These long metal strips form the core part of a global industry standard component rail-mounting system in electrical panels and enclosures.
CSE Distributors can offer three types of Din rail; Top Hat, Deep Section and Micro. These are normally stocked items, ready to buy for your next project. Feel free to contact our friendly team for any enquiries.
