Danfoss MBC 5100 Marine Pressure Switch

May 29, 2013 By CSE-Distributors

Danfoss MBC 5100CSE Industrial Electrical Distributors Southampton is a Competence Centre for the Danfoss Industrial Automation Division. In addition, as we are based by the coast, we have over the last decade developed a particular specialism and understanding of the marine industry in addition to the traditional industrial electrical customer. Our marine customers ask us on a daily basis to help with specifying suitable Valves, Temperature switches, Temperature-Sensors, Pressure-Transmitters and Pressure Switches for their application. We have sold many pressure switches to the marine industry, but one of the most highly regarded Danfoss Pressure switches is the block-type compact pressure switch, the MBC 5100. The MBC 5100 is used in marine applications where space and reliability are the most important features, designed to survive in harsh conditions typical for machine rooms on board ships.  The MBC 5100 also features:

  • High vibration resistance
  • Relevant marine approvals including Lloyd’s Register of Shipping, LR and American Bureau of Shipping, ABS
  • Fixed, but low differential guaranteeing accurate monitoring of critical pressures.
  • Pressure ranges from -0.2 to 400 bar
  • Enclosure rated at IP65
  • Fast and simple to operate

Barry Morgan, sales and marketing for CSE Southampton said “we regularly help customers in the marine industry with their solenoid valve selection. They have specific requirements when fitting and refurbishing ships and boats.” Barry added “We hold good stocks of the Danfoss Solenoid Valves which means we are able to send them in good time – a necessity when a ship is docked for only a short time for repairs. As a Danfoss competence centre, CSE and Danfoss have close working relationship and use this knowledge and service together to deliver suitable solutions to the marine Industry (in addition to other industrial sectors) to the best of their expertise. If you require any assistance with any of the Danfoss Industrial range, please email or call us on 023 8063 3055 for more information.
