An MCB is a protection decive intended to prevent damage to a circuit due to excess current. They trip during an overload or short circuit protecting against faults and failures. MCBs are widely used in industrial, commercial, and domestic settings.  
Unlike traditional fuses, MCBs can be reset with a simple switch, minimising downtime and eliminating the need for replacement components. Available across a wide range of current ratings, pole configurations, and curve types (Type B, C, D and K) to cover everything from domestic consumer units to large scale industrial distribution boards.
