When fully operational, Hinkley Point C will be capable of generating 3,260MW of “low-carbon” electricity – sufficient to power around six million homes! - Its design, construction and ongoing operation will have generated thousands of employment opportunities and benefitted the local supply-chain economy.
Since 2020, CSE cable specialist James Fletcher had been working closely with an English refrigeration equipment manufacturer to source several bespoke cables within the strict specifications laid down in the project documentation.
With access to our excellent global supply chain, James quickly nominated an accredited manufacturer to work with and develop several bespoke cable sets for use on refrigeration skids within the power station site. After several revisions to the technical parameters, test reports were submitted and approved, and purchased orders were expedited.
As part of the contract, CSE took delivery of the cables, cut them down to the customer's required lengths, and delivered them to site to a pre-defined schedule!
